I think I've found my topic. Perusing years of family (albeit headless) photos at Lake Como, I noticed that everyone, regardless of generation, is in at least one picture that shows them with a fishing pole in the water. I guess that finally made me realize that - yes, I do have a hobby (even though it is dormant for most of the year.) Freshwater fishing is something that has always greatly interested my husband since he was a child and was introduced to me almost immediately after we met. The topic may seem uninteresting to the electronically inclined generation. However, I hope to capture the audience with combination of both the necessary and intricate details involved as well as the serenity and rewarding aspects of the sport. The photo I used here (my husband blending into a spectacularly lit, tranquil evening) is actually a scan of a copy. It looks grainy on the screen so I think I better stick to some of the original prints and later digital photos.

After reading your most recent post, I think freshwtaer fishing would sound like a perfect idea. It is very original;I would be surprised if anyone else in class had the same idea. In addition, it seems as if you have a wealth of information, both from personal experiences, and via your husband. On top of that it sounds like you have a decent amount of images readily available.
Good luck if this is what you choose!

This photo is beautiful. If this is any indication of what the rest of your website will look like, you might even convince me to go fishing sometime.
Make sure you include tips on cleaning and cooking the fish! Maybe indoors or over an open fire. I might also want to know where to get lodgings by the lake.
What a great topic! I actually like the grainy quality of this photograph! I think it emphasizes the sentimental nature of the topic. I’m interested in the requirements of obtaining a fishing license and when having one is necessary, or a link that brings me to a page with that information.

I recently saw a documentary on late night public television on Noodling, maybe you to can talk about the differences in methods. I never knew a documentary about fishing could be so interesting. - Durda
I used to go fishing when I was a kid, and if I were you, I wouldn't worry about scanning grainy older photos at all. Those kinds of photos are a nice personal touch, so I wouldn't shy away from them! Um, just curious, are you going to be showing how to--- clean/gut fish etc?
I think that's a neat idea--especially because fishing is so non-techy...makes for a nice juxtaposition.
