Thanks for the interest in my topic. Sorry to disappoint everyone but I will not be including cleaning and gutting fish. Although we used to do this for many years, we are on a strictly "catch & release" basis now. The lake is privately owned and does not get stocked at all so in an effort to maintain the quality of our fishing fun & the natural habitat of the lake, we've been letting them go on their merry way. As far as Noodling goes, would you want to stick your hand into an underwater hole to see if you could catch a catfish bigger than you? I'll stick to live bait, lures and a bass or two - thank you very much.
I'm going through the page organization and research process now (don't even want to think color or layout yet). After introducing the topic, I know I'll be including a page about necessities (gear, fishing licenses, boat permits, local fishing regulations, safety and must bring items), a getting started and how-to page, and maybe a page about locations and lodging in

Wow, I've never heard of Noodling before. It reminds me of Chuck Palahniuk's novel Rant, in which the main character repeatedly sticks his arm into animal burrows in order to get bit by rabid animals. Probably not what most Noodlers have in mind, but it takes a similar level of nerve.
I'll echo the earlier remarks about the appeal of grainy photos for this project. I used to go fishing all the time as a kid, but haven't done it in years - and I suspect I'm not alone. For many of us, fishing may be tinged with nostalgia, which grainy old photos evoke. Even if your goal is an informative website, a little nostalgia can't hurt...
I'm really glad you're not going to be cleaning and gutting them!
